China’s 64th National Day marked in Ho Chi Minh city

(VOVworld) – Vietnam has congratulated China on its achievements particularly following its 30-years reform process, which has made China the 2nd largest economy in the world. The commendation was made by Duong Quan Ha, President of the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh city, in a ceremony to commemorate China’s 64th National Day. In Ho Chi Minh city, the municipal Viet Nam - China Friendship Association and the Chinese Consulate jointly organized a wide range of cultural exchange activities, which have helped to strengthen mutual understanding.

Xu Mingliang, Chinese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh city, told participants: "China and Vietnam are important neighbors and partners, who have known a time-honored friendship. Although the world and regional situations are becoming complicated, bilateral friendship remains unchanged, with closer cooperation in the fields of politics, economics, culture, science, and education. It’s my honor to hold the post of the Chinese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh city. I commit my efforts to the development of China-Vietnam relations by stepping up exchanges and cooperation between China’s localities and Ho Chi Minh city."
