(VOVWORLD) - China’s President Xi Jinping on Monday pledged to continue working with Russia on developing their comprehensive strategic partnership.
In his meeting with Russian Chairwoman of the Federation Council (Senate) Valentina Matviyenko in Beijing, Xi said legislative cooperation is an important part of China-Russia relations, including experience sharing on legislation and state management.
Matviyenko said the Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership is in line with the interests and aspirations of both countries and has reached its highest level in history.
Matviyenko is leading a Russian delegation on a visit to China, from Sunday through Wednesday, to attend the 8th meeting of the China-Russia committee for parliamentary cooperation.
