COVID-19: Vietnam confirms no new cases, global cases surpass 153 million mark

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed no new COVID-19 patients on Monday morning. Among 2,962 total cases in Vietnam, 1,595 cases have been infected locally and 2,549 patients have recovered.

By Sunday, 532,000 frontline workers were vaccinated against the coronavirus. They were community volunteers, COVID-19 steering committee members at all levels, police, soldiers, and medical staff who are treating COVID-19 patients, taking samples, testing, and contact tracing.

According to worldometers.info, by Monday afternoon, global COVID-19 cases surpassed the 153 million mark. 3.2 million people died of the coronavirus. The US topped the world with 33.1 million infections and 591,000 deaths. India run second for new cases (approximately 20 million) while Brazil registered the second highest fatalities with over 407,000.
