The CAAV’s directive was issued on Sunday as several airport employees tested positive for coronavirus and travel demands increase for the Lunar New Year holiday.

Staff members and passengers must strictly follow prevention measures including wearing masks and washing hands with soap or alcohol-based sanitiser.

Any passenger with abnormal symptoms must be reported to medical authorities while equipment and high-risk areas at airports must be constantly disinfected to prevent contamination.
Vietnam reported four locally-transmitted COVID-19 infections on Monday. All are baggage handlers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and work in the same team with Patient 1979 who was confirmed positive for the coronavirus over the weekend.
