Though just one-fourth as many as last year, it’s a sign that tourism is reviving in Da Lat since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out.

Nguyen Thi Dang of Ho Chi Minh City said, “My family and I feel safe visiting Da Lat now because it hasn’t reported any COVID-19 infections since the pandemic broke out again in other parts of Vietnam. We wear a mask at all time and stay away from crowds. We come to Da Lat every year because we love the mild climate here. There are fewer tourists this year than in previous years.”

Da Lat authorities have deployed guards at tourist attractions, flower gardens, and around Xuan Huong lake to remind travelers to wear a mask and strictly follow all health measures.

Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said, “COVID-19 measures are in place at all tourism sites. Communications on COVID-19 prevention are regularly broadcast. We are going all out to make it safe and fun for people to visit Da Lat at this time.”
