Da Nang tourism promoted in Australia

(VOVworld) – A seminar entitled “Da Nang – Asia’s new discovery” was held in Sydney, Australia on Friday as Da Nang-Vietnam Clipper Race Team anchored at Sydney port from December 12th to 26th. Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Luong Thanh Nghi told the seminar participants that Da Nang has become increasingly popular among Australian tourists. He voiced his hope that Da Nang’s images would be further promoted after this seminar.

The Clipper 15-16 Race officially began at St. Katherine Docks in London on August 30th with the participation of more than 700 people from over 40 countries worldwide. The Da Nang – Viet Nam team joined other 11 racing yachts to spend up to eleven months traversing six continents, passing such famous destinations as Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, South Africa’s Cape Town, Australia’s Sydney, the U.S.A.’s Seattle and New York, and then back to the UK in July 2016. The Clipper Race fleet is scheduled to arrive in Da Nang in mid-February 2016 at the end of Race 7 from Australia.
