(VOVworld)- On Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid courtesy visits to the Lao Party General Secretary and President, the Prime Minister, and the National Assembly Chairman.

During the meetings, Phuc reiterated the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s respect for traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos. Phuc said Vietnam supported and would do its best to help Laos to successfully hold the ASEAN Presidency in 2016. The Lao leaders said they treasured ties with Vietnam and expressed their hope that the 38^th session of the Interg-overnmental Committee for Vietnam-Lao bilateral cooperation would be a success to further enhance the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. They urged the Cooperation Committee to promote cooperation between ministries, agencies, sectors, and localities to bring into play the two countries’ strength to boost national development.
