(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh received the United Arab Emirates new ambassador to Vietnam on Tuesday.

Ambassador Khalid Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtani was recently appointed to the position with the main objective of promoting trade and investment between Vietnam and the UAE and strengthening international ties. The diplomat said he would work to advance relations and increase cooperation in all areas. Both Minh and Al-Qahtani spoke about future orientations in the petroleum, labor export and tourism industries and pledged to bring two-way trade turnover to 6 billion USD per year.
