Human resource roadmap proposed for semiconductor industry

(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested a training roadmap to transform and improve human resources for the semiconductor industry as he addressed a workshop on Vietnam's semiconductor human resources in the supply chain held in Hanoi on Saturday.

The event was jointly held by Phenikaa Group, Phenikaa University, Synopsys Group, and Arizona State University of the US.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said, “It’s necessary to determine Vietnam's strengths to receive transfer and master semiconductor industry within a few years and evaluate existing human to go ahead with training. Which fields need to go far and steadily, and which fields need investment in basic research and in-depth training."

At the workshop, experts discussed the feasibility of training 50,000 Vietnamese IC engineers by 2030, Government incentives for universities training high-quality semiconductor workforce, experience of training semiconductor human resources from the world's leading businesses and universities.
