(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received outgoing US Ambassador to Vietnam David Shear on Thursday.

Mr Phuc expressed his pleasure at the fine development and good results of the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership, adding that Vietnam will do its best to elevate their comprehensive partnership to a higher level, and voiced his conviction that Mr Shear, in his next position, will continue to promote relations between Vietnam and the US.

Ambassador Shear pledged his continued efforts to fostering cooperative relations between the two countries.
