Dien Bien Phu victory celebrated in Russia
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia in collaboration with the Literature and Art Association of the Vietnamese people in the European country organized a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory on Tuesday.

At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, Dang Minh Khoi, affirmed that the Dien Bien Phu victory was an important event not only for the Vietnamese revolution but also for the national liberation movement around the world, contributing to awakening and encouraging oppressed peoples around the world to rise up and fight for independence and freedom.
Vietnamese Defense Attaché in Russia, Vuong Dac Thang, stated that Vietnam won the Dien Bien Phu victory thanks to the harmonious combination of national strength and the strength of the times, and the valuable help of the peace-loving people in the world.
Mr. Thang also expressed his gratitude to those who sacrificed and fought for the country's independence and freedom.
