During its visit to Dong Thap, the inter-agency inspection team looked into how IUU prevention tasks and the EC's recommendations are being implemented at My Tho fishing port. It also worked with provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment on managing fishing fleets, monitoring catch volume, and seafood traceability.

Director of the Fisheries Resources Surveillance Department Nguyen Quang Hung highly praised Dong Thap's work on IUU prevention but said there are still rooms for improvements before the EC's inspection.
