(VOVworld) – An exhibition entitled “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam – historical evidence” opened on Saturday in the northern province of Thai Nguyen. The exhibition displays nearly 150 maps together with many documents, publications and articles of domestic and international scholars on the topic.

Many of the documents were issued by feudal dynasties in Vietnam from the 17^th to the early 20^th century, proving Vietnam’s claim and exercise of its sovereignty over the two archipelagos. The exhibition aims to select solid proof of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the archipelagos to introduce to the public and to refute distorted information about the history of the two archipelagos. The exhibition will last until November 4^th.
