Exhibition spotlights Hai Phong city’s heritage

(VOVWORLD) - More than 200 photos and documents about socio-economic development, and culture of Hai Phong are on display at an exhibition that opened Thursday to mark the 69th anniversary of the northern port city’s liberation.

Do Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Hai Phong’s Department of Culture and Sports, said the city is not only a key economic center of Vietnam but also a center for world cultural convergence. Hai Phong has more than 500 recognized relic sites, including the UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay-Cat Ba Archipelago.

“The exhibition Hai Phong – The Heritage Region Brightens’, which coincides with this year’s Red Flamboyant Festival, highlights the cultural values of Hai Phong city and Vietnam, builds trademarks, and promotes the status and prestige of Hai Phong city,” he said.
