Le Hoang Quan,  Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said: The Flower Festival on Nguyen Hue Street over the past 10 years has become the city’s distinction, reflecting the love of Ho Chi Minh residents for all Vietnamese living inside and outside the country. The street is decorated on the theme of Vietnam’s growing position and the people’s trust in the Party to lead the country to overcome challenges.

The same day, the city also launched the 3rd Book Festival on the theme of “books and 54 ethnic groups”, involving 12 publishing houses and book distribution companies. The festival will continue until February 13.
