Flight route from Russia to Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island reopens

(VOVWORLD) -A Vietjet Air aircraft landed at Phu Quoc International Airport on Sunday afternoon, marking the reopening of flights from Russia to Vietnam’s famous Phu Quoc Island to serve Russian tourists during the peak winter season.

The first direct flight from Vladivostok City carrying 220 tourists arrived at Phu Quoc in An Giang province, after about 7 hours. It was part of the charter tour package including airfare, accommodation, sightseeing and local services operated by Anex Vietnam Trade and Tourism Company Limited (Anex Vietnam).

Phu Quoc Special Zone will continue to welcome charter flights departing from 14 cities of Russia and countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) operated by Azur Air and Vietjet Air, with a frequency of 75-80 flights per month, transporting more than 10,000 international tourists each month.
