Former President Le Duc Anh remembered in Chile, Tanzania

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Chile on Friday and Saturday organized a ceremony to pay tribute to and opened funeral book for former President General Le Duc Anh. 

The Director of the Reception Department of the Chilean Foreign Ministry Ambassador Frank Tressler, Director of the External Relations Department of the Chilean Lower House Jacqueline Peillard, Head of the External Relations Department of the Communist Party of Chile Eduardo Contreras, and former Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam Claudio de Negri paid tribute to the former President and wrote in the funeral book.

Tanzanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Palamagamba Kabudi paid tribute to former President Le Duc Anh at a ceremony in the Vietnamese embassy in Tanzania. He wrote in the funeral book: “On behalf of the Tazanian people and government, I would like to send the deepest condolences to the Vietnamese people and government over the passing of former President general Le Duc Anh. Tanzania and Vietnam have a time-honored relation and the former President contributed greatly to bilateral ties.”

Over the past two days, Ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of China, the US, France, Spain, Nigeria, Algeria, the UAE, Comoros, Kenya, the Republic of Congo, Italy, Belgium, Qatar, Sudan, and India paid tribute to former President General Le Duc Anh.
