If the current growth is maintained, the export value of fruits and vegetables in seven months will surpass the 3.2 billion USD earned last year.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam ranks 14th in the world in fruit production, with a total growing area of 1.2 million hectares.

The export value of Vietnam's vegetables and fruits first exceeded 1 billion USD in 2013 and now exceeds 3 billion USD a year.

In the last 2 quarters of the year, it’s predicted that 7.6 million tons of fruit will be harvested. If the rate of export growth is maintained from now until the end of the year, Vietnam’s export turnover in the agriculture sector will reach a record 5 billion USD.
