(VOVworld) – A delegation of the Central Military Party Committee on Friday paid tribute to General Nguyen Chi Thanh in Mai Dich cemetery in Hanoi on the occasion of his 100^th birthday.

The same day, delegations of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, the Command of Military Zone 4, and the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province also laid wreaths and burned incense in memory of the General. Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich presented the General’s family a statue featuring President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh at the first army party conference in 1960.
