The funds will be used to rebuild and repair damaged homes, relocate residents from high-risk zones, and restore essential infrastructure, including schools, healthcare facilities, transport routes, and irrigation systems.
From late October to early November, consecutive storms and floods swept through central Vietnam from Ha Tinh to Dak Lak.
According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the disasters left 90 people dead or missing; nearly 2,300 homes collapsed or were damaged; and more than 160,000 hectares of rice and other crops were ruined. Over 680 boats sank or were damaged, and hundreds of kilometers of canals and roads suffered erosion or destruction.
Total estimated losses exceed 1 billion USD.
