(VOVworld) – The government meeting for April opened in Hanoi on Friday. Prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that despite progress in socio-economic development, inflation control and social security, a number of problems still remained in the implementation process. Prime minister Dung said "We must listen to the people and the media and immediately deal with any arising problems or shortcomings. The ministers should finalize mechanisms and policies in their areas of concern."

Prime minister Dung asked cabinet members to focus on ensuring macro-economic stability, disbursement of investment in construction projects, government bonds and ODA and creating a favorable environment for attracting foreign direct investment. He also asked the ministers to implement projects to restructure state-owned enterprises, remove obstacles for businesses in agriculture, industry and services, and ensure social security and welfare.
