Al-Nono, a senior Hamas official, accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of sabotaging efforts to reach a ceasefire and prisoner exchange. He warned that intensified Israeli strikes on residential buildings in Gaza endanger any Israeli captives held there.
Qatar’s Prime Minister urged the international community on Sunday to stop using double standards and punish Israel for what he called “its crimes.”
Speaking on the eve of an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic leaders after Israel carried out an unprecedented air strike on Hamas leaders in Doha, the PM said Israel’s actions will not prevent Qatar from continuing its joint efforts with Egypt and the US to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
