At a conference on Wednesday to review a program to improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the capital’s economy over the last 5 years, participants agreed that Hanoi Party Committee has effectively implemented major policies and guidelines on stabilizing the macro-economy, controlling inflation, ensuring social security and promoting economic restructuring. Mr. Thao said: “In the short term, it is essential to resolve difficulties, focus on promoting business and resuming production and price stabilization. In the long term, priority will be given to implementing all measures to encourage the potential of the knowledge-based economy in all fields, concentrating on high-tech development and high-quality services”.
