Le Thai Vu, Deputy Head of the Festival’s Organizing Board, said this is the third time the festival has been held in the Hoi An silk village to honor the traditional craft and seek output for Vietnamese silk.

“The Hoi An silk village is like a living museum as it represents the development of not only Hoi An’s silk weaving but also of a flourishing traditional handicraft of the Champa people. Hoi An joined the Asia Silk Association in 2012 and became a member of the World Silk Association in 2014,” Vu said.
