The program encourages shoppers to use fewer plastic bags and bring personal, environment-friendly bags. GO! Supermarket and Co.opmart Hue will not give out plastic bags at the counters on Wednesday in July.

Ho Lap Phuc, Deputy Head of the Natural Resources and Environment Office of Hue City and Deputy Director of the project Hue – A city to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam, said: “No plastic bag Month has the participation of big retailers including Co.opmark and GO!supermarket. The month continues a series of communication activities on reducing plastic waste with the engagement of the administrative agencies, businesses, and people. With the community response, we can make big change as Hue deserves its title Festival City.”
