(VOVWORLD) - On Wednesday, the first day of the Lunar New Year, attractions in the Hue Heritage Site opened free of charge, inviting thousands of visitors to experience the festive Tet atmosphere.

In the Royal Palace of Hue Imperial City, guests enjoyed cultural performances at Thai Hoa Palace and participated in traditional royal games such as poetry recitation and calligraphy writing.
Tran Thi Tam, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City said: "Experiencing these Tet traditions reminds me of my ancestors' customs, helping me better understand Hue’s unique cultural heritage. It’s both fascinating and heartwarming."

Beyond the Imperial City, historic sites such as the tombs of Tu Duc, Minh Mang, Khai Dinh, Gia Long, and Dong Khanh also saw a significant influx of visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung, Deputy Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said: "Throughout the first three days of Tet, we are organizing various art performances at different heritage sites. Lion and dragon dances will take place in the Imperial City and Hue Royal Palace, offering a festive experience for both locals and tourists. Each year, we aim to introduce new cultural elements to enhance the appeal of Hue’s heritage while creating a joyful atmosphere for Tet."
