(VOVworld)- Representatives from the Hue Relics Conservation Centre and the Luang Prabang World Heritage Office signed an agreement in Hue city to promote cooperation in managing, conserving and preserving their cultural heritage. The two sides will promote friendship and cooperation between Hue of Vietnam and Luang Prabang of Laos and establish a common relationship with Siem Riep in Cambodia. Nguyen Van Phuc, Head of the Hue Relics Conservation Center said: “The program aims to promote exchanges and mutual support in managing the two relic sites. In particular, there will be training courses on relic management and preservation. Both sides will cooperate in the study of history to promote heritage values for tourism development”.

Director of the Luang Prabang World Heritage Office Buonnhang Phongvichit said that as Hue city in particular and Vietnam in general have world cultural heritage experience, cooperation between the two cities will help Luang Prabang become a centre for tourism, culture, history, and heritage research.
