(VOVworld) – A ceremony took place in Hue on Monday to sign financing contracts worth 120,000 USD among enterprises, individuals, and organizer of Hue traditional craft festival 2015. The festival, the 6^th of its kind themed “the quintessence of Vietnamese crafts” will take place from April 29^th to May 3^rd. The event will showcase Hue handicraft products and villages, such as jewel making, engraving, bronze casting, and pottery making, and other villages across Vietnam. Visitors to the festival will be introduced to craft village tours.

According to Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of Hue municipal People's Committee, this event will continue to promote the position and the ancient beauty of Hue, a city of festivals. Thanh said: “Artisans will demonstrate the making process of traditional handicraft products at the festival where artisans themselves can learn from others to develop their crafts. After each festival, apart from cultural values, the infrastructure will be kept to reduce costs for next events.”
