(VOVworld) - Hue is brimming with tourists as tens of thousands have flocked to the province and surrounding area for the five-day holiday starting on April 30. Over the past three days, the Hue Relics Complex has welcomed over 62,000 holiday-makers, including 8,700 foreigners, earning a total of close to 200,000 USD in revenue. Phan Tien Dung is director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: “The number of visitors to Hue has increased 15-20%. Hotels in coastal areas have been fully booked.”

Thua Thien Hue province has implemented a number of promotional programs including discounts of up to 20% on tickets to local relic sites and 50% for Nha Nhac (Royal Music) performances.
