(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan attended the 10^th anniversary of Kien Giang province’s Fund for Poor Patients. She appreciated the Fund’s contributions to society and individuals and organizations who have accompanied the Fund in charitable activities.

Over the last decade, Kien Giang province’s Fund for poor patients received donations worth 24 million USD to conduct free eye and heart surgeries for poor patients, give wheelchairs for people with disabilities, and offer free medical check-ups. The Fund gave 2,200 houses to unfortunate people and, built 258 bridges, 26 km of rural roads, and 16 schools.
