At a joint press conference following a meeting in Kiev, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced his desire to improve relations with Ukraine and sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement.

He said Hungary is ready to help the modernization of the Ukrainian economy. President Zelenskyy said his dialogue with Mr. Orban may become "the basis for a new bilateral document" which will regulate all relations between the two countries.

Mr. Zelensky clearly stated his vision of how to end the conflict in Ukraine and said he hopes to organize a second International Summit on this issue later this year. He called on Europe to maintain military aid to Ukraine in the meantime.

Mr. Orban visited Kiev on Tuesday, one day after he took over the EU's rotating presidency.
