India, Vietnam pledge to increase military coordination

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh and Indian Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar co-chaired the 13th Vietnam-India defence policy dialogue at the deputy minister level, which was held on Tuesday via videoconference.

Both sides agreed to continue exchanging delegations at all levels, conducting personnel training and other cooperation between their armed forces, and collaborating in defence industry, UN peacekeeping operations, and at multilateral forums.

Earlier, Sen. Lieut. Gen. Vinh and the Charge d'Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam attended a ceremony to inaugurate the second phase of the Information Technology-Foreign Language Centre of the University of Telecommunications, which received 5 million USD in non-refundable aid from the Indian Government.
