A conference held by the Ministry of Defense in Hanoi on Thursday reviewed Vietnam’s involvement in such operations in the 2012-2020 period and discussed ways to improve the effectiveness of Vietnam’s future UN peacekeeping activities.

The Ministry said Vietnam will continue to nominate officers for command positions at UN missions and agencies. Vietnam operates a level-2 field hospital in South Sudan and has individual officers stationed in other positions.
