(VOVWORLD) - Indonesia’s Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, on Saturday praised VinFast, Vietnam’s leading automobile manufacturer, for its commitment to developing an electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

He said VinFast’s efforts not only support green transportation but also create economic opportunities for the Indonesian people.
VinFast has made strides in the public transportation sector by introducing eco-friendly vehicle services, including its “Xanh SM” electric taxis, which are now operating in multiple locations in Indonesia.
The company plans to install 30,000 charging stations across Indonesia this year and is preparing to build a factory, which will contribute to job creation and economic growth in the local community.
