(VOVworld) – A workshop on environmental commitments within the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement was held on Friday in Hanoi to strengthen international cooperation in law enforcement for more effective environmental protection.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the US embassy. It focused on the preventing illegal trafficking of wild animals, biodiversity destruction, and environmental pollution. The participants discussed the advantages and challenges of implementing the TPP’s environmental commitments, measures to make full use of TPP opportunities, especially in improving environmental institutions and policies while implementing the agreement. The workshop sought measures to help Vietnam fulfill the UN’s sustainable development goals until 2030.
