Iran calls for recognition of its nuclear rights by P5+1
(VOVworld) - Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday that the P5+1 group, which includes the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, should recognize Iran’s nuclear rights. Speaking at a weekly press conference yesterday, Mehmanparast said that recognizing Iran’s nuclear rights would be the best result of the talks between the two sides.

He said Tehran is ready to collaborate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to relieve the concerns of the P5+1. Helga Schmid, deputy head of EU foreign relations, and Ali Bagheri, Iran’s deputy nuclear negotiator, met in Istanbul to prepare for the next round of high-level international talks on Iran’s controversial nuclear program.
