Israeli military aims to take over 75% of Gaza in two months

(VOVWORLD) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) aim to take over 75% of the Gaza Strip within two months, paving the way for the defeat of Hamas and the rescue of the remaining hostages being held in Gaza.

The Times of Israel reported that the IDF already controls about 40% of Gaza and has destroyed a quarter of Hamas’s approximately 900 kilometers of underground tunnels.

Israel also announced that 107 trucks delivered aid to Gaza on Sunday. Since May 19, when Israel began easing its blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza, nearly 500 aid deliveries have been made.

According to assessments by international aid and humanitarian organizations, however, the amount of aid being delivered meets only a small fraction of Gaza’s urgent need.
