IT saves time and costs in Vietnamese legislature’s activities

The National Assembly’s use of IT shows a more flexible approach to legislative activities. Deputy Nguyen Mai Bo of An Giang province said: “There are advantages to meeting online. It saves transportation and accommodation costs for the National Assembly deputies”.
National Assembly Secretary General and Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said meeting online was the first step of reforming National Assembly procedures. He added: “All topics are fully discussed during online meetings. Voting is done online and the results are sent within one minute to the main assembly hall. In the future National Assembly activities will use IT to save time and money”.
