Japan helps build schools in Quang Tri province

(VNA) - The Trieu Thanh primary school in Trieu Phong district of the central province of Quang Tri, the third in the district built with Japan’s aid, was dedicated on Tuesday. Built at a cost of 2.4 billion VND (114,500 USD) in Japanese government aid, the school has six classrooms and other functional rooms to meet national standards. Addressing the ceremony, Charge d’affaires Hideo Suzuki of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam said Japanese people have sympathy for Vietnam’s suffering during the war and Japan’s government always pays much attention to education, which is given priority in bilateral cooperation. He expressed his confidence that the school will provide a better educational environment for teachers and students.
