The reactor is expected to begin generating electricity on Saturday and reach full operation next Wednesday. When it reaches its full capacity, the government will remove power-saving restrictions for Chubu, Hokuriku, and Chugoku. Restarting the two reactors is an attempt to head off a serious power shortage this summer. 48 reactors remain shut down since the No.1 Fukushima nuclear power plant crisis.
