At the association’s year-end meeting, Mitani said he wants to organize a visit to Vietnam for regional businesses to seek trade opportunities, adding that Vietnamese businesses are always welcomed in Hokuriku to look for partners or establish start-ups.

Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka Nguyen Hong Ha applauded the association’s efforts of boosting its relationship with Vietnam. He said the Vietnamese government is implementing policies to achieve the dual goal of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and maintaining socio-economic stability. There have been positive signs that Vietnam is still an appealing destination for foreign investors, he added.
