Japanese Crown Prince, Crown Princess begin six-day Vietnam visit

(VOVWORLD) - Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday for a six-day working trip to Vietnam.

They were welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio, and other officials of Vietnam and Japan.

The welcoming ceremony for the Crown Prince and his spouse will be held at the Presidential Office on Thursday by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

The Japanese distinguished guests will attend a ceremony to mark 50 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan at the National Convention Centre on Thursday evening.

They will meet with State President Vo Van Thuong and attend banquets to be hosted by the President and Vice President of Vietnam.

During their stay, they will also watch an opera Princess Anio by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra at the Opera House in Hanoi, alongside taking part in activities in Quang Nam and Da Nang in the central region.
