Participating in the festival will be art troupes representing 14 distinct ethnic minorities, including the O Du, Brau, Ro Mam, Pu Peo, and Si La, alongside artists from China’s Yunnan province and travel businesses from Laos.

Tran Quang Khang, Deputy Director of the Lai Chau provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said that the festival will feature a vibrant array of events, including performances of traditional cultural rituals of ethnic groups, a grand cultural festival, and a showcase of traditional ethnic costumes.

Outstanding artisans who have made contributions to the preservation and transmission of traditional cultures of ethnic groups will also be honored.

Mr. Khang said that the festival not only celebrates and shares the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities but also nurtures patriotic values, instills a sense of national pride, and fosters unity.

The event plays a pivotal role in raising awareness and fostering a collective sense of responsibility across diverse sectors and individuals, all dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique cultural identities of these ethnic communities, he added.
