(VOVworld)-Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the northern province of Lao Cai to tap its potential in mining, agriculture, border trade and tourism and focus on human resource development. At a meeting with local authorities on Sunday, Mr. Phuc said Lao Cai’s topping the country’s competitiveness index reflected efforts by local authorities and people and that the province needed to exploit this advantage to boost its socio economic development. He urged the province to continue reforming administrative procedures and ensuring transparency in dealing with the public and enterprises.
