Launching Nhon Hoi oil refinery project

(VOVworld) – The Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee and Thailand’s PTT Company held a press briefing to introduce the Nhon Hoi oil refinery project.

The project, which will cost between from 25 to 30 billion USD, has a design capacity of 660,000 barrels a day. Le Huu Loc, Chairman of Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee, says:
"In late April or early May next year, all detailed reports on the feasibility of the project will be reported to ministries and sectors before being submitted to the Prime Minister. The Provincial People’s Committee has established a consultation group to work with investors to finalize the project’s feasibility."
Sukrit Surabotsopon, PTT’s Deputy Director, said the Nhon Hoi economic zone has the complete infrastructure and the project site is about 2 km from the nearest seaport, which makes it economically efficient.
