The draft has specified and detailed special policies, from participating in international organizations, supporting businesses doing business abroad to improving the quality of training, strategic research and ensuring human resources for foreign affairs, lawmakers said.

Deputy Tran Quoc Tuan of Vinh Long delegation, offered his view, saying “This resolution is like a new shirt for international integration work to help the country rise strongly. But for the shirt to fit and be secure, I hope that the conditions for resources to be decentralized to localities must be substantial and the regulations on legislative empowerment must be accompanied by strict control.”

Also on Wednesday afternoon, National Assembly deputies gave their opinions on the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on International Treaties.
