Lawmakers optimistic about economic prospects

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly deputies have said that they are confident that Vietnam will fulfill the socio-economic plan for the 2016-2010 period.

Deputy Nguyen Ngoc Phuong of Quang Binh province said 2018 has seen impressive progress particularly in public investment. The Prime Minister has held dialogues with businesses and streamline administrative procedures to create the best condition for enterprises. Expanded foreign relations and economic partnerships have helped Vietnamese products to further penetrate the global market, he said.

Deputy Pham Van Hoa of Dong Thap province praised the performance of the Government and authorities at all levels. So far this year, GDP has hit 6,98%, higher than the set target of 6.07% while inflation has been kept under 4% for several consecutive years, he added.

The deputies are optimistic that the projected GDP growth of between 6.6% and 6.8% for this year is within reach.
