(VOVworld) – Libyan foreign minister Mohammed ad-Dairi has warned that Libya is likely to become a new base of the Islamic State.

In a statement announced on Wednesday, Diri said Libya’s internationally recognized government has received reliable information saying that the IS’s headquarters have asked new recruits to arrive in Libya instead of Syria. He said the IS group is increasing its appearance in Libya where up to 5,000 Jihadists are stationed.
