(VOVWORLD) - The northern province of Quang Ninh province welcomed 150,000 visitors during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, from Saturday to Monday, a record since the COVID-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, the central province of Thua Thien Hue received 30,000 visitors. Local travel companies have launched several new tourism products to lure tourists.
Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Director of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Department of Tourism, said that visitors to Hue will experience green tours which are sustainably friendly with the environment.
“They will have a chance to wear traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai (long dress) on a cyclo tour to learn about Hue cultural heritage. Thua Thien Hue’s scenic spots have attracted a large number of tourists,” said Phuc.
Moc Chau district of the northern mountainous province of Son La welcomed nearly 14,000 tourists while Cat Ba and Do Son, two major tourist attractions of the northern port city of Hai Phong, welcomed tens of thousands of visitors during the 3-day holiday.
Chairman of Do Son district People's Committee Tran Khac Kien said Do Son will kick off its tourist season on April 29 with the opening of the pedestrian street, a Dragon Boat Racing Festival, an art program, antique car parade and display, an EDM Electronic Music Festival, and an Open Tour Golf Tournament.
