(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced an official commemorative logo for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification on April 30.
The logo features a stylized number "50", symbolizing the 50-year milestone since the historic victory. The logo’s dominant red color represents revolutionary fervor, bravery, resilience, unity, and heroic strength and is also the color of victory. The logo’s blue symbolizes peace and happiness.
The digits 5 and 0 are seamlessly connected, forming a unified block that reflects the power of great national solidarity, and the perseverance and sacrifices of the Vietnamese military and people that led to the Great Spring Victory of 1975.
The number 5 is shaped like the national flag, symbolizing the North as the rear base, a steadfast spiritual support for the people and soldiers on the southern frontline.
The number 0 is in the shape of a flying bird, symbolizing a peaceful homeland and the nation's independence, freedom, and peace. It also conveys the nation’s joy and pride of victory.
Beneath the number 50 is an image of the Liberation Flag flying atop the Independence Palace, symbolizing national unity, pride, and solidarity, and the Vietnamese people's aspiration for peace and happiness.
